Our Contemporary Craft Show, now in its 8th year, will comprise fifty stands exhibiting the full diversity of our work and including several newer members of the Guild. The Guild will be exhibiting in the ground floor auditorium where visitors can meet the designer makers of spectacular, well designed, and beautifully made crafts that are professionally created in small workshops and studios in East and West Sussex and the adjacent counties. All Guild members are always pleased to discuss their work and techniques used with visitors. Their work can be purchased on the day or specially commissioned for a more personal touch. Be inspired by the high quality of the work – it could be an ideal place to find that special and unique Christmas present!
The De La Warr Pavilion provides the perfect setting to showcase the creativity and craft skills of the Guild. It is an iconic 1930s building built in 1935 in the new style of architecture named Modernism. It presents a rolling programme of art exhibitions and concerts as well as having a beautiful shop and a cafe overlooking the beach. The bright and stylish Café Bar and Kitchen use fresh, seasonal ingredients, locally-sourced where possible, for delicious lunches, sandwiches, and cakes. There is a great range of wines, boutique beers, soft drinks, speciality teas and coffees. Food and drink can be enjoyed on the balconies, overlooking the sea.
Parking: De La Warr Pavilion has its own parking and there is parking on the seafront.
Train: The De La Warr Pavilion is a short walk from Bexhill station.
